Richard Vakil est un artiste contemporain originaire de Lysekil en Su\u00e8de. C\u2019est un artiste autodidacte qui a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 peindre \u00e0 l’aquarelle \u00e0 l’automne 1987. Il a pris go\u00fbt \u00e0 cette technique gr\u00e2ce aux cours d\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 qu\u2019il a donn\u00e9s pendant 7 ans (1996 \u00e0 2002) au Ljungskile Folkh\u00f8jskola.
\nLa peinture \u00e0 l\u2019aquarelle est sa technique pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9e, mais il pratique \u00e9galement la peinture acrylique.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Lors d\u2019une exposition \u00e0 Stockholm en 2014, une femme qui lui avait achet\u00e9 une peinture lui demanda s\u2019il \u00e9tait int\u00e9ress\u00e9 pour r\u00e9aliser un dipl\u00f4me, il ne se doutait pas que c\u2019\u00e9tait pour le Prix Nobel\u00a0! C\u2019est deux ann\u00e9es plus tard, qu\u2019il fut finalement\u00a0 sollicit\u00e9 par la Royal Academy of Sciences pour peindre le dipl\u00f4me destin\u00e9 aux laur\u00e9ats du Prix Nobel de chimie. Pour ces prestigieux dipl\u00f4mes, il choisit alors de peindre des pierres, symboles de l\u2019immuable et de l\u2019\u00e9ternel, sur du papier ARCHES\u00ae<\/sup> Aquarelle grain torchon 300 g\/m\u00b2 au format 333 x 211 mm.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
