The Arches paper mill has been committed to Sustainable Development for a very long time. All its products are made from pre-consumer or post-consumer material diverted from the waste stream.
Sustainable valorisation of raw materials
Pre-consumer recycled material
This concerns cotton linters, which are fine, silky fibres on the seeds in the cotton flower. Linters are a by-product of cotton with no use in textile manufacturing, but which are a precious ingredient in paper making.
Post-consumer recycled material
This is the material produced by the recycling of waste paper at the Arches paper mill. All the paper that is unfit for sale is recycled. This material is then returned to the production process.
