Silvia De Bastiani’s nature watercolours
Silvia De Bastiani is a painter who was born in 1981.
She started to work with watercolours in 1996 and took summer courses with Angelo Gorlini for 4 years, after which she studied at the International School of Graphics in Venice. In 2004, she graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, which she followed up with a specialist masters in Visual and Performing Arts.
Between 2007 and 2012, she held a post as assistant in Professor Mauro Zocchetta’s department of Artistic Anatomy at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice.
Since 2008 she has been teaching watercolour and drawing at the G.B Cignaroli Academy of Fine Arts in Verona.
Her work is often inspired by nature. She has exhibited her work on numerous occasions in Italy in individual and collective shows, from the Veneto region to Milan, Turin and Catania, as well as Rome and Frosinone.
Silvia uses ARCHES® Watercolour paper for her diptych and triptych artworks.
