Steven L Plount
Steven Plount, born in 1952, is an American artist who has traveled in India and currently lives a life of painterly solitude in the Pacific Northwest. He has a residence in India living there part of each year since 2015. He has maintained a painter’s practice beginning professionally in the early 1980s that also extends back into the mid-1960s. He holds an MFA in Painting from Pratt Institute. He is inspired by skies and clouds, emptiness, simplicity, color, the movement of the hand, brushes, early to mid-twentieth Century poetry, and spaces filled with, luminous clouds of paint.
