Rüdiger Eggers has been painting and drawing in different techniques out of love and passion for more than 40 years! In recent years, Rüdiger has preferred watercolour painting in a realistic style to the point of hyperrealism. Colours and light play a special role, each picture reflects its own mood. He mainly makes use of the glaze technique in watercolour painting. This academic type of painting is very time-consuming because several layers of paint are placed on top of one another. This gives the colours a special luminosity and the picture gains in depth.
