Jan Heaton
Born in Michigan, Jan Heaton is a watercolourist who calls Austin home. She studied at Wayne State University, the Detroit Institute of Arts, and the University of Texas – Austin. Jan’s watercolours are abstract, but her creative process is inspired by the structure, colour, and pattern of elements in nature that are often overlooked. Her work isolates details and exposes the viewer to an everyday object or place seen from a new viewpoint. Jan Heaton is a watercolour artist represented by the Davis Gallery in Austin and galleries in San Antonio, Santa Barbara, Marble Falls and Atlanta.
