Jean-François Escande
Jean-François Escande, born in 1962 in Agen (Lot-et-Garonne, France) is a self-taught plastic artist and Bordeaux-based architect. His artistic work is characterised by the production of series of works using Indian ink or charcoal. His work is (exclusively) black, as the brush (sometimes) and time (always) goes by. Chance and a requirement for precision drive the process and produce infinite and random variations on geometric abstraction.
