Peter Reuterberg, artist by nature

Peter has devoted his entire life to painting and sculpture. Watercolour is the technique that captivates him the most. The elusive power inherent in the watercolour pigments released when they are mixed with water represents a challenge that he willingly embraces.

“My art emerges from the delicate interplay between introspection and observation, drawing inspiration from the captivating Bohuslän archipelago. I use both painting and sculpture to celebrate the beauty of humanity and nature, blending traditional techniques seamlessly with contemporary themes.
In my process, I layer colours and materials to reflect the complexities of life. The changing tones in my work evoke memories and are inspired by the natural elements: the wind, waves, and rocky shores. Each piece bridges different eras, guided by the tactile experiences of working with clay or a brush stroke over cold pressed paper.
My art is a mirror reflecting both my inner landscape and the surrounding environment, capturing fleeting moments like the dance of light on water, the curve of a shoulder or the play of shadows on cliffs. Each creation invites viewers to explore these captured secrets and emotions.”
