Amanda Reis, portrait of a passionate watercolourist
Amanda Reis is a Brazilian artist living in Portugal. She first discovered watercolour in 2017 and fell in love with the light, fluid nature of this painting technique which she finds very relaxing.
She is also passionate about drawing. She studied at the University of Porto, where she honed her artistic skills as well as graduating with an architecture degree in 2023.
In 2018, Amanda started to paint commissioned portraits for family and friends. Since then she has painted portraits of over 700 people all over the world and now makes her living entirely from her art.

After receiving requests from her social media followers, she decided to develop training courses for artists wishing to master watercolour painting techniques. She gives online classes for every level in over 15 countries all over the world, but also face-to-face classes in Portugal. Amanda Reis believes that art is something that is within everyone’s reach and that anyone can learn. She loves the fact that she is teaching other people a technique that completely changed her life. And what really motivates her is being able to help her pupils achieve their objectives in a light-hearted and enjoyable way whilst enhancing their creative processes.
