Sonia Slavtcheva
Sonia Slavtcheva is a self-taught Bulgarian artist living in the Czech Republic who focuses on abstract painting on paper. Her leap into the world of making art came in early 2019. After a 30-year career in which she reached the peaks of corporate finance, Sonia wanted to escape rigid, controlled environments and freely express herself. Art was her refuge and rescued her from a total burnout. She has been very successful, taking part in numerous international juried art competitions and online exhibitions. “Watercolour and ink are my preferred mediums. They allow me to let go, be patient and to stay focused.”
