John Harper Owen
John Harper Owen was born on the island of Anglesey in North Wales. After completing a foundation course in art in Bangor and graduating in graphic design from Bristol, he moved to London where he spent 18 years working in corporate design. Much of his work there was produced for Middle Eastern clients. As this work grew in volume and importance, he moved to the region in 2003, first to Bahrain and then Dubai. He recently returned to Anglesey after almost 19 years in the Middle East. He still consults for the Dubai-based company, but his art has become increasingly important.
