Erkin Yilmaz

Erkin Yılmaz is a watercolour artist based in Ankara, Turkey. His work is deeply inspired by the western and southern coasts of his country, where the sea, expansive skies, clouds and sailboats form the central visual language of his paintings. Working in a realistic style, Erkin focuses on capturing the clarity, atmosphere and changing light of the natural world while preserving the transparency and luminosity that define watercolour. His compositions reflect careful observation and emphasise balance, structure and refined detail. Erkin actively participates in exhibitions, art fairs and workshops both in Turkey and internationally. He also teaches watercolour and shares his experience with artists through workshops and demonstrations. His works are held in private collections in Turkey and abroad.
