Tsukiyo Ono, passionate about watercolours

Tsukiyo Ono is a Japanese watercolour artist born in 1969. She is a graduate of the Akashi High School art school and lives in Kawasaki in Kanagawa Prefecture.

Tsukiyo Ono teaches watercolour painting at the Women’s College of Fine Arts of Japan. She shows her work at numerous exhibitions and also runs workshops on watercolour painting.
She uses her art to try and make the surrounding world more positive and beautiful. Her favourite subject: flowers, which she paints using an amazing palette of colours and which are an infinite source of inspiration as they always offer new opportunities to play with shapes and colours. Tsukiyo Ono uses ARCHES® Watercolour 300 gsm cold pressed paper.

She has also written numerous books on the watercolour technique. The latest one “Ono Tsukiyo’s Watercolor Portrait Lessons”, which came out in October 2017, provides practical advice to guide the reader to produce portraits and paint figures.
