Gilles Lorin
Photographer, alchemist and printmaker, Gilles Lorin is born in 1973 in Aix-en-Provence, France. As a teenager, he discovers darkroom photography. He began drawing, painting and sculpting while he was in high school in Florida, USA. He then studied art history and archaeology in Paris, France. In 2015, he established his studio in the Southwest of Germany where he works now full-time as a photographer and printmaker. He makes use of old photographic processes such as platinum-palladium and cyanotype.
